DESIGN
Our development process for this hood strut kit began with mapping the hood and engine bay of several test vehicles using 3D CAD. We then designed, analyzed, prototyped, and tested a lifting linkage. Thanks to our in-house 3D printer, we achieved a fast and efficient design cycle, moving quickly into production with a CNC laser cutter and CNC bending equipment. This ensures a system that fits and operates correctly every time, for years to come. We specifically designed the fender ball studs for this application, adapting our high-quality, American-made struts to the metric threads on your Subaru. These custom-built struts, designed to our exacting specifications, feature a large diameter body that provides excellent opening force while maintaining smoothness and control. MATERIALS
Given the frequent use and exposure a hood strut kit will endure, the choice of materials and finishing options is crucial. Our brackets are precision cut from high-strength steel and powder-coated with a durable, textured black finish for long-lasting protection. The threaded ball studs are machined from stainless steel to prevent corrosion and ensure compatibility with your vehicle's chassis. The gas springs, the key component of our kit, are manufactured in the USA and are of the highest quality, meeting OEM standards. These custom-valved units are specifically tuned to match the weight of the aluminum WRX and STI hoods. They feature clear zinc hardware and a quick-release ball and socket for ease of use. Finally, all included hardware is grade 8.8 or higher and coated with clear zinc for enhanced durability and longevity. This ensures that every part of our hood strut kit is built to last and perform reliably under all conditions.

Orders over $500 will ship insured and over $1,000 with signature and insurance in order to guarantee delivery. Orders over $1000 may not be able to ship to a different address not listed as the billing address or confirm payment address from the form of payment used. Orders with suite numbers, different billing, or apartment numbers will require signature if valued over $100.
All international orders outside of the USA are subject to duties and taxes fees per your countries jurisdiction and determined by customs.
Kami Speed serves the right to ship using an alternative method if we see it fit, in order to expedite shipping and reduce your rate depending on product value.
Processing and logistics on in stock international orders can take up to 7 business days to process & ship.
In stock, non special order items can be returned within 30 days of the product arriving to your house or place of work.
Returns will NOT be accepted on Clearance Items, Final Sales, Special Orders, Opened, Installed, Incomplete, or Otherwise Used Products. In order to initiate a return, an RMA number must be requested and approved via e-mail. All returns will be subject to a 20% restocking fee minus complete shipping cost (roundtrip).
Any processed orders that have not shipped will incur a 6% cancelation refund fee unless the product was not available to ship within a timely manner. No fee will be incurred if used as store credit.
